Frontline’s Front Njord collided with French trawler Moorea, Bay of Biscay

Frontline’s tanker Front Njord collided with French trawler Moorea in the morning July 13 in Bay of Biscay, 17 nm west of island Noirmoutier, south of Saint Nazaire. Fishing vessel suffered damages above the waterline, not serious, as she was able to sail under own power to Croisic port, north of Saint Nazaire. One of five crew was injured in the collision, and had to be airlifted to hospital. Judging from the size of the vessels and Moorea’s light damages, it wasn’t so much collision as a contact. Front Njord later that day reached Saint Nazaire and was docked.
