Fishing vessel Jeanoah assisted after hitting a rock, Alaska

Fishing vessel Jeanoah reported to USCG on July 9, that she struck the rock and began taking on water 40 miles west of Kodiak, Alaska, in Shelikof Strait. USCG delivered on board of distressed vessel extra pumps and rescue team from USCG cutter Roanoke Island by helicopter, water ingress was taken under control. Jenoah proceeded to Kodiak, escorted by a fishing vessel Katherine.
