Capacity Increase on Evergreen and Coscon’s Far East – South Africa FAX Service
The Far East – South Africa service FAX that is jointly operated by Evergreen and Coscon increases its weekly service capacity at the end of May. The service’s whole fleet is reshuffled as 7 vessels of about 3,450 TEU are replaced by 7 vessels in the size range of 4,230 TEU. This means that the average weekly service capacity increases from 3,230 TEU in May to 4,150 TEU in July. The service continues deploying a total of 8 vessels on a weekly frequency and a 56 day-rotation.
Most of the vessel that are being phased out of the FAX service are expected to be deployed in the new Far East – West Africa WA1 service that is jointly operated by Coscon, Evergreen and MOL. (see news: MOL, Evergreen and Coscon Launch a New Far East – West Africa Service).
