Hyundai Closes it Korea – China – Vietnam HP2 Service
Hyundai Merchant Marine terminates its Korea – China – Vietnam service HP2 this month. The service was opened in December 2013 and jointly operated with CK Line while Cheng Lie Navigation used to take slots on this service, branding it HIX. The last sailing of the service was executed by the vessel RUNA, which phased out yesterday, 21st May.
The service used to deploy a total of 2 vessels on a weekly frequency. It had an average service capacity of 690 TEU per week and was the only service for Hyundai to cover the ports of Shantou and Fuzhou. These two Chinese ports are currently not covered anymore in HMM’s portfolio.
