CMA CGM Modifies the Port Rotation of its Rhino Express and Mascareignes Services
CMA CGM has announced to add a new port call at Longoni (Mayotte) to its South Africa – East Africa service Rhino Express. The new port will be first called by the 630 TEU vessel ONEGO BURAN on 2nd June. The service deploys a total of two 630 TEU vessels and sails on a fortnightly frequency.
Simultaneously however, CMA CGM removes the port of Longoni from the port rotation of its India – Indian Ocean Islands Mascareignes service. As of June the rotation time of this weekly service is therefore shortened from 5 to 4 weeks with an average weekly service capacity of 2,000 TEU. Cur- rently the French carrier also covers the port of Longoni through 2 other services; the Indian Ocean Feeder and the MIDAS service (see news: CMA CGM modifies its Midas and Swahili Express Africa services).
