UASC, YMM and CSCL Close their Far East- West Coast North America Service for the New AAS2 Service
UASC (AWS1), Yang Ming Marine (PS4) and CSCL’s jointly operated Far East – West Coast North America service is closing. The last sailing of the service will depart on 4th June from Los Angeles with the vessel HS CARIBE. The service was served by 6 vessels, which sailed on a weekly frequency and a 42 day-rotation. It had an average weekly service capacity of 4,260 TEU.
CSCL’s new Far East – West Coast North America service AAS2 maintains the offer and UASC joins the service as an operator in June, branding it AWS1. Yang Ming, (AS2), Evergreen (AAS2) and Coscon (AAS2) are already taking slots on the service, which will be inaugurated on 23rd May from Xiamen with the vessel XIN DA YANG ZHOU (see news: CKYHE alliance members reshuffle their Far East -West Coast North America routes). The service deploys 6 vessels on a weekly frequency with an average weekly service capacity of 8,610 TEU.
AWS1/ PS4 (closing): Ningbo - Shanghai - Los Angeles - Oakland - Xiamen - Ningbo
AAS2: Xiamen - Nansha - Yantian (Shenzhen) - Ningbo - Busan - Los Angeles - Oakland - Xiamen
