Evergreen Reshuffles its North Pacific Services
Evergreen stops taking slots on the CSCL operated Far East – West Coast North America service AAC. The other slot partners on this service are UASC (AWS2) and Yang Ming Marine (AAC), Evergreen branded the service CPS. AAC deploys 6 vessels on a weekly frequency and a 42 day- rotation. In April it has an average weekly service capacity of 9,000 TEU.
As a replacement of the AAC service, Evergreen opens up its own new weekly Far East – West Coast North America service which is also branded CPS. Evergreen deploys 6 vessels of 8,000 to 9,200 TEU that are taken from Evergreen’s HTW service which is now expected to be staffed by Cosco vessels.
At the same time Evergreen shuts down its Far East – West Coast North America service CPS2 that was jointly operated with Hanjin (CAX). The service used to deploy 6 vessels on a weekly frequency and a 42 day-rotation.
These moves seem to be part of a large reshuffling of the North Pacific corridor by the extended CKYH - EVERGREEN Alliance.
