Hanjin and UASC Take Slots on Mediterranenan – Far East Services
Hanjin becomes a slot sharing partner on the Mediterranean – Far East service that is jointly operated by UASC (AMC1) and CSCL (AMX1). Hanjin will start taking slots from 24th April and brands the service CMN. Other slot sharing partners on the service are YMM (AM1) and Deutsche Afrika Linien (Europe-East Africa). The service deploys 10 vessels on a 7 day frequency and a 70 day rotation. The port rotation remains unchanged.
Simultaneously, UASC starts taking slots on the Mediterranean – Far East service MD1/PM1 that is operated by the CKYHE alliance. UASC will engage slotting on 23rd April with the 10,020 TEU vessel COSCO KAOHSIUNG from Busan. The service will see an extension of its port rotation to West Coast North America in June and increases of its service capacity (see: CKYHE Alliance Restructures its Europe – Far East Services).
