Evergreen Modifies its Caribbean Services
Evergreen will make changes to its Caribbean service by taking slots on MSC’s Florida – Caribbean service and shutting down its own Caribbean Feeder CAS.
Evergreen is taking slots on MSC’s Florida – Caribbean service starting on 26th April. The service deploys 3 vessels on a weekly frequency and a 21 day-rotation. The average service capacity is 2,640 TEU per week. Evergreen will brand this service CAP and will start slotting on the 2,700 TEU vessel PANDORA on 26th April from Port Everglades.
At the same time Evergreen and Xpress Feeder will close down their jointly operated Caribbean Feeder that was branded CAS by Evergreen and PVX by Xpress Feeder. MOL, Hamburg Süd and Maersk were taking slots on this service which sailed every 11 days. The service deployed 2 vessels and had an average service capacity of 1,400 TEU per week. As a consequence of the closure of CAS/PVX, Willemstad port will no longer be covered by Evergreen’s portfolio. The last voyage of the service will be with the vessel ATLANTIC VOYAGER in April.
