NYK Closes its Japan - Vietnam - Thailand Service LYNX
NYK closes its Japan – Vietnam – Thailand service LYNX after only one year of existence. The service which used to deploy 3 vessels will see its last sailing from Laem Chabang by the vessel ACX MARGUERITE on 6th April 2014. LYNX had a weekly-frequency and a 21 day-rotation with an average service capacity of 1,600 TEU per week.
Hanjin and Hyundai Merchant Marine used to participate through slot sharing on this service and branded it LNS and HLS respectively. In order to maintain their offer, both HMM and Hanjin are taking slots on the new Japan – Thailand service that is jointly operated by Maersk (New IA2) and NYK (PERSEUS) (see: MCC and NYK to launch a new Japan-Thailand service). Hanjin will brand this service PES and HMM will keep the name HLS.
