Maersk’s Far East – West Coast South America Service AC2 Sees Changes to its Port Rotation
Maersk modifies the port rotation of its Far East – West Coast South America service AC2 while also making changes to its Far East – West Coast South America AC3 service. The port calls at Qingdao, Busan and Buenaventura are added to the AC2 port rotation, while the calls at Nansha, Hong Kong, Yantian, Vostochny and Kaohsiung are withdrawn from the rotation. These ports will however be covered by the new AC3 + SAFARI service (see related article).
The AC2 service deploys 9 vessels on a weekly-frequency and a 63 day-rotation. It has an average service capacity of 9,200 TEU per week and the new port rotation will be inaugurated from Qingdao by the 9,200 TEU vessel SVEND MAERSK on 26th April.
AC2: Qingdao (new)- Shanghai - Ningbo - Busan (new)- Manzanillo (Mex) - Lazaro Cardenas - Balboa - Buenaventura (new) - Lazaro Cardenas (new) -Qingdao.
