RCL Closes its Thailand - Indonesia RTI Service to Join MOL’s Singapore - Indonesia AJS Service
As of March 3rd 2014, Regional Container Line is closing its Thailand to Indonesia service RTI to join MOL as operator on its Singapore-Indonesia service AJS. The RTI service used to deploy two 1,200 TEU vessels while the AJS service only used to deploy 1 vessel (see: MOL Reopens Singapore – Jakarta Shuttle AJS). With RCL now joining the AJS service, the rotation is extended and the SATTHA BHUM is deployed as a second vessel. RCL will keep the name RTI for this new service.
The AJS/RCL service runs a 7 day-frequency and 14 day-rotation. This will give an average weekly capacity of 2,640 TEU.
