​Evergreen and UAFL’s Jointly Operated Indian Ocean Island - East Africa Service IMMA to Close Down

Evergreen and UAFL’s jointly operated Indian Ocean Island to East Africa Service IMMA is closing down after only one year of existence. The last vessel of the service will be ALICE RICKMERS which is due to arrive on April 2nd in Colombo. The service was operated by 3 vessels guaranteeing a 14 day- frequency with an overall rotation time of 42 days. The average weekly service capacity was 1,000 TEU.

Maersk Line as well as Deutsche Afrika Linen used to slot on IMMA which was Evergreen’s only service to cover the Mozambique and Mauritius areas.

IMMA: Colombo - Port Louis - Tamatave - Durban - Maputo - Beira – Nacala - Colombo
