​Hanjin, Simatech And Evergreen Close Their Jointly Operated India – East Africa Service

Hanjin, Simatech and Evergreen plan to close their jointly operated India to East Africa service by the end of February. In detail, the services to be closed are AF1 (Hanjin) and IDEA (Simatech and Evergreen). The last sailing starting from Mundra is scheduled on February 25th by the container vessel FINISTERRE. The service deployed three vessels, the port connection can be seen below.

To further provide coverage of East Africa, Hanjin starts participation on the East Africa service AEF, which will also call at Mombasa and Dar es Salaam. The service is currently jointly operated by Coscon, Evergreen and Xpress Feeder. The service employs 5 vessels, out of which one is to be nominated. Most likely the vessel is going to be provided by Hanjin – just subscribe and stay on track. Hanjin also transfers the name of the service and branded it AF1. The participation will start with the vessel HAMMONIA GALLICUM, operated by Xpress, on March 18th. The weekly ser- vice capacity is 2,180 TEU.

AF1 (new):
 Singapore - Tanjung Pelepas - Colombo - Mombasa - Dar es Salaam - Colombo – Singapore
