HMM Upgrades From Slotter To Operator On Evergreen’s Arab Gulf Service

The South Korean container liner, Hyundai Merchant Marine used to take slots on Evergreen’s Arab Gulf service APG. From March 12th on, HMM will upgrade its involvement in the service and operate one out of 7 vessels. HMM’s first vessel to sail the route branded SEM will be the 8,900 TEU HYUNDAI SPLENDOR. The vessels will start its voyage in Singapore, which will be a new port call added to the port rotation of SEM/APG.

As of February, APG service offers a weekly connection between China’s East Coast and the Arab Gulf with an average capacity of 7,000 TEU. Besides Evergreen and HMM, COSCO takes slots on that service.

The new port rotationof APG/SEM: Shanghai - Ningbo - Taipei - Hong Kong- Shekou (Shenzhen) - Singapore (new) - Tanjung Pelepas - Colombo - Jebel Ali - Dammam - Port Kelang - Laem Chabang - Hong Kong – Shanghai
