Hyundai Merchant Marine, HMM, upgrades its involvement in G6’s LOOP7 service connecting Europe and Asia. HMM, who used to be a slotter, will deploy 2 out of 11 vessels on the service joining the current operators APL, MOL and NYK. The first HMM vessel to sail the route will be the HYUNDAI DREAM, starting from March 5th on. The average weekly capacity on the service is scheduled to gradually increase from 10,500 TEU to 12,500 TEU.

In addition to LOOP7, HMM is also operator on G6’s LOOP4 and LOOP5 as well as a slotter on LOOP1 and LOOP6. As a further capacity increase on G6’s services, Hapag-Lloyd will replace its vessel CHICAGO EXPRESS (8,750 TEU), operated on LOOP6 by the new build LEVERKUSEN EXPRESS (13,196 TEU).
