One more Deepwater Container Terminal will be built in Gdansk. Few days ago DCT (Deep Container Terminal) and the administration of Gdansk port signed a lease agreement that gave the first impulse for construction of new terminal.

DCT 2 is designed for handling the transfer of domestic and international cargo. The terminal is now under developing and is expected to stretch 600 meters along the deep-water coastline. It will be equipped by 7 specialized cranes for handling the containers from the vessel. The capacity of second container terminal is expected to be 2,5 million TEU in a year. DCT and DCT2 with DCT both terminals will be capable to carry annually 4 million TEU's.
