Boxship Kota Lukis barely evaded allision after engine failure, Tauranga NZ
Boxship Kota Lukis barely evaded allision with Mount Maunganui wharf in port of Tauranga on March 12 13, while leaving the port, reported Bay of Plenty Times. The tugs moved the vessel from the berth and already dropped the lines, when Kota Lukis engine failed, and disabled vessel moved in wharf direction. Tugs were able to turn the vessel, with some 20 meters space left between vessel and the wharf. Kota Lukis was anchored and after fixing a problem, left Tauranga, bound for Port Klang.
