Tanker Harbour Krystal was granted a refuge in Setubal, Portugal, and was anchored on Setubal inner road on Mar 7 at around noon. As of morning Mar 8 tanker was in the same position with port tug nearby.

Tanker Harbour Krystal reported to be refused entering Portugal waters, as of 06:00 UTC Mar 7 tanker was proceeding in SW direction at a speed of some 7 knots, seemingly under own power. The one crew member who went missing in an explosion was of Filipino nationality.

Explosion and fire on board of Danish tanker Harbour Krystal
Explosion occurred on board of chemical tanker Harbour Krystal at around 08:00 LT Mar 6 13, followed by fire, in forward section of the vessel, loaded with naphta. Vessel was some 30 miles south of Lisbon, en route from Port de Bouc terminal, France, to Amsterdam. One crew missing. Salvage vessel Svitzer Sines on the scene. As of 15:00 UTC Mar 6 tanker was adrift with Svitzer Sines nearby. Chemical tanker Harbour Krystal, IMO 9330020, dwt 11262, built 2006, flag Bahamas, manager NORDIC TANKERS TRADING A/S, Denmark.
