Boxship Bangkok Bridge anchored in Unalaska after engine failure

On Feb 20 13 boxship Bangkok Bridge suffered engine failure in Unimak Pass, Aleutian Islands, reported Unalaska Community Broadcasting kucb.org.
Vessel was heading to Long Beach sailing by Great Circle Arc (saving distance). USCG started to prepare cutter Monro for emergency towage, but boxship managed to fix the problem and resume moving. Nevertheless, vessel was ordered to call Unalaska and was anchored there for inspection and repairs. As of morning Feb 23 vessel was in the same position, USCG said they required a class survey.
