Tanker Marine Alliance down again

Russian media report citing Russian Ministry of Emergencies, that Russian tanker Marine Alliance is down again roughly in the same position, off Tsugaru Strait, Japan sea, en route to Nakhodka, Russia. On Feb 16 tanker left Hakodate, Hokkaido, after repairs, but engine faulted again, disabled tanker is drifting in Japan sea west of Tsugaru Strait. Reportedly owner of the vessel directed another tanker of the company, m/t Geogriy Froier, to assist disabled Marine Alliance. Geogriy Froier left Vostochniy port on Feb 15 destined for Busan, but obviously was redirected, ETA Marine Alliance Feb 17 16:00 Moscow time.

Russian tanker Marine Alliance suffered an engine failure on Feb 7 in Japan sea in rough weather. Disabled tanker was drifting towards Okushiri island, north of Tsugaru Strait. Japanese salvage vessel took tanker on tow on Feb 8. Tanker arrived to Hakodate port, Hokkaido, on Feb 11.
