Fire on board of ferry King Seaways, North sea

The fire started in the accommodation area of ferry King Seaways at around 2200 UTC Dec 28 13, when vessel was around 30 miles east of Flamborough Head, near Scarborough, en route from Newcastle on Tyne to Ijmuiden, Netherlands. There are some 1000 passengers and 27 crew on board. 6 crew and 1 passenger were evacuated by a helicopter with smoke inhalation signs. Vessel turned back and is heading to Newcastle at a speed of some 19 knots, ETA 0500-0500 UTC Dec 29. Actually it means that the fire is already out, and there is no threat to vessel, passengers and crew, or else ferry should proceed to nearest port, Hartlepool, for one. Reportedly fire started in one of the cabins, and was caused by a passenger.
