Fishing vessel Alaska Mist under tow to safety, Bering sea

Fishing vessel Alaska Mist with 22 crew on board suffered a mechanical failure and became disabled and adrift 30 miles northwest of Amak Island, Bering sea, on Nov 9 13. Salvage of the fishing vessel developed into a multi efforts operation involving USCG helicopters and ship, another fishing vessel and a tug. Alaska Mist was successfully towed by USCG ship Waesche to Unalaska Island arriving there on Nov 14, and presently is under tow by a tug Resolve Pioneer, destination Dutch Harbor.
