General cargo vessel Shu Hang 998 sunk by typhoon

General cargo vessel Shu Hang 998 sank in Sanya port, Hainan Island, China, during typhoon Haiyan passage, in the afternoon Nov 10 13. The circumstances of the disaster remain unclear, vessel reportedly was moored or in the process of berthing, mooring lines snapped, and probably, vessel drifted away driven by strong wind. Sanya port is open in western direction. Two dead bodies were found, five crewmen are still missing.
