Greek bulk carrier ACHILLEAS suffered an explosion and fire on board on Nov 2 13 in the vicinity of position 22 10N 017 45W, some 50 nautical miles west of Western Sahara coast.

Vessel suffered damages and looks to be disabled, last known position 21 34N 017 55W at 0100 UTC Nov 5, speed around 1 knot, moving or drifting in southern direction some 25 nautical miles during last 48 hours.
Greek tanker MARIOS (IMO 9121314, dwt 4990) apparently is escorting Achilleas.
