Russian freighter Mikhail Lomonosov collided with British yacht Mohican Too, Baltic sea
General cargo vessel Mikhail Lomonosov collided with British sailing yacht Mohican Too in the night of Oct 18 some 18 nautical miles north of Glowe, Ruegen Island, Germany, Baltic sea. Rigging was damaged, yacht was disabled. Salvage boat Harro Koebke from Ruegen came to assist, and took yacht on tow. Yacht was safely towed to Glowe. Freighter stayed near disabled yacht until salvage came. Two Brits and a Sweden on board of 15-meter yacht weren’t harmed. Freighter was permitted to resume voyage from S-Petersburg to Hamburg via Kiel Canal. In the morning Oct 20 vessel was anchored on Kiel Canal road.
