Chinese cruise liner Henna with 1659 passengers detained in Jeju by court

Chinese cruise liner Henna was detained on Sep 13 13 in Jeju island, Korea, by a local court upon request by another Chinese company, Jiangsu Shagang Group Co., Ltd. Vessel with 1659 passengers and 650 crew on board was scheduled to leave Jeju for Incheon at 1600 LT Sep 13. The claim of the Jiangsu Shagang Group Co. isn’t specified by Henna’s operator, Star Cruises Co., or China's National Tourism Administration (NTA), which protested the detention, requesting an immediate release of the vessel. “No commercial dispute should infringe upon tourists' legal interests”, said Dai Bin, a researcher at the China Tourism Academy. As of morning Sep 15, liner was still in Jeju.
