Second Triple-E vessel delivered to Maersk Line

World's largest ocean carrier - Danish shipping company Maersk Line has received new Triple-E container vessel.

The 18,000 TEU Majestic Maersk has been constructed at the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering shipyard in Okpo, South Korea. New built Majestic Maersk is a Maersk Line's second after MC-Kinney Moller Triple-E class container vessel. Three more vessels of this class are expected to be launched this year, and other 15 will be put into service in 2014 and 2015. The future Triple-E container vessels will be operated on the route between Asia and Northern Europe.
