Chinese freighter Hai Hong Da sank after collision with capesize Frontier Voyager off Shanghai
Early in the morning Aug 7 13 capesize bulk carrier Frontier Voyager collided with Chinese coastal general cargo vessel Hai Hong Da off Yangtze river estuary, reportedly in southern channel. Hai Hong Da lodaded with 13500 tons of iron ore sank soon after collision. Out of 18 crew 15 crew were rescued by 02:30 LT, 3 either died or went missing. Frontier Voyager was en route from Australia to Shanghai. As of morning Aug 9 Frontier Voyager was in Shanghai.
