Bangladeshi freighter Hope sank in Andaman sea off Phuket, 10 crew missing

General cargo vessel Hope issued distress signal and around 03:45 Bangkok time July 4 13, reporting sinking in heavy seas, vessel was some 35 miles south of Phuket Island, Thailand, Andaman sea. Reportedly, 19 crew were rescued by Thai Navy helicopter, 10 in a life raft went missing. Thai Navy continues Search and Rescue searching the area by helicopters. Vessel was en route to Chittagong, Bangladesh, after transiting Malacca Strait.
