Two Chinese freighters sank off Hainan Island

Two Chinese freighters, Chang Xin Shun 888 and Jin Ma 788, sank in the morning June 23 13 off Hainan Island, Gulf of Tonkin, in position 19 09N 108 37E, caught in Bebinca storm. Vessels reportedly were anchored at the time of an accident, both loaded with coal, with crew of 6. distress signal was received by Hainan Maritime Authorities at 06:20 LT. All 12 seamen were rescued, operation was coordinated by Hainan Maritime Authorities. Chang Xin Shun 888 is resting on the bottom with bridge above the water.
