Freighter Fri Ocean was refloated in the morning June 15 and taken to Obana bay road, anchored for survey.

Freighter Fri Ocean aground in Sound of Mull, Scotland

General cargo vessel Fri Ocean, loaded with wood, has run aground approximately 2.5 miles south of Tobermory, Sound of Mull, Island of Mull, Scotland, reported the MCA. Stornoway Coastguard received an emergency call just after 06:00 June 14 13, reporting vessel aground on rocks. The RNLI Tobermory all-weather lifeboat and the Tobermory Coastguard Rescue Team have been sent to the scene. The seven crew on board are said to be safe and well, with no reported injuries. The vessel is taking on water but pumps are running to keep the water level steady. The vessel is upright and there is no reported pollution. Salvage reportedly, will commence on June 15.
