Oil rig Noble Paul Romano tilted in Valetta, Malta

Oil rig Noble Paul Romano, docked at Dock 6 in Valetta, Malta, tilted on one side during ballasting operation at around 13:15 LT June 7 13, reported Malta Independent. Nobody was injured, it is said some equipment fell overboard. Tilting was signaled by a loud noise.

Mediterranean Oil & Gas (MOG) reported late May that its partner Genel Energy has secured the Paul Romano (DW semisub) rig to drill an exploration well offshore Malta Area 4 during the fourth quarter of 2013, said Rigzone.com. Rig is currently undergoing a five-year class survey in Valetta, added Rigzone.
