Hamburg Süd christened two container ships
Hamburg Süd, Germany's second-largest shipping group, has expanded its fleet with two brand-new container ships built at Hyundai Heavy Industries yard. The christening of Cap San Nicolas and Cap San Marco took place last week in Ulsan, in South Korea. Both ships have a nominal slot capacity of 9,600 TEU and are considered to be the largest container ships in the Hamburg Süd fleet. The newbuildings will operate to carry containers between Asia and South America East Coast.
