Leopard crew released by pirates after more than years of captivity
The crew of Danish general cargo vessel Leopard, hijacked by Somalia pirates more than two years ago, is finally, freed, reported the ship owner, Danish company Shipcraft, on Apr 30 13. It is said ransom paid for the crew was some million or millions dollars. Pirates were demanding “unrealistic” sums, but finally, 2 Danish and 4 Filipino seamen were freed.
