Boxship Norfolk Express aground and refloated, Weser

Boxship Norfolk Express ran hard aground around noon Apr 18 13 in Weser estuary, North sea, some 9 nautical miles NE of Jade Weser Port, reports vesseltracker.com. Vessel stranded off fairway for yet unknown reason at a speed of some 19 knots, some one third of its’ hull is aground. No pollution reported. Salvage is under way, with a number of tugs and salvage vessels already on the scene. Norfolk Express left the Strom Quay in Bremerhaven, bound for Le Havre. 

Boxship Norfolk Express grounded at around 09:30 LT Apr 18 13, and was refloated with the help of several tugs at around 16:45. Vessel was docked in Bremerhaven at 19:30, for survey and investigation.
