Chopin detained in Rostock, Russian engineer charged

Rostock police detained general cargo vessel Chopin on Dec 11 for the illegal storage of oil residuals in a sewage tank, and a number of some other, not specified, deficiencies. The vessel is, according to AIS and other data sources, German, but news said a Polish company was tasked with cleaning the tank. It’s not clear, if the Polish company is connected to the vessel (as say, charterer), or it is specializing in tank cleaning. Authorities filed a criminal charge against Russian engineer.
