The Vienna express class is a series of container ships in the Hamburg-based Hapag-Lloyd.

The Vienna express class includes three ships, which were built from 2009 to 2010 at the South Korean shipyard Hyundai heavy industries. The ships largely offset the 2005 to 2008 delivered units of the Colombo express class and the at the same time built Prague express class ships. The three Vienna-class ships by the different type of main motor different from latter. You belong to the Post-Panamax vessels with a width of 42.8 m and sailing under German flag with homeport Hamburg.

About four-fifths of the length aft arranged on the superstructure of the ship. The container parking capacity of 8600 TEU, there are 730 plugs for refrigerated containers. The holds of vessels are sealed with pontoon hatch covers.

The marine propulsion system consists of a twelve-cylinder two-stroke diesel engine of MAN B & W type was built 12K98ME, the Hyundai heavy industries under license. The power of 57.200 kW is emitted directly on a fixed pitch propellers. The ships can reach a speed of well 25 kn. A bow thruster with a power of 2,500 kW supports the arrival and berthing.

The electric wiring is run in medium voltage, there have been two wave generators and four diesel generators with a total of around 25,000 kW installed.
