Hamburg-Express-Class (2012)/Hyundai 13.000 TEU Standard Type Class
The Hamburg express class is a series of container ships in the Hamburg-based Hapag-Lloyd. You will from 2012 by Hyundai heavy industries in Ulsan, South Korea built.
The Hamburg express class belongs to the Post-Panamax ships in the Hapag-Lloyd. The class will consist of a total of ten ships. Six of the ten ships were originally given as smaller units with 8750 TEU in order and later transformed into construction contracts of this larger type. 2012 three ships have been delivered (see table). the first of these (the namesake of Hamburg Express) was baptized on 17 August 2012 in Hamburg. All ships of the series used by Hapag-Lloyd in the line service between the far East and Europe.

For the ships of the class, which all come under the German flag in drive, totaling US$ 1.4 billion to be invested.
In the ships up to 20 container can be loaded, stacked of eleven under and nine on the deck. 19 series fit side by side in the width. the container parking spaces are in 22 Containerbays. The vessels are diesel by an eleven-cylinder two-stroke diesel engine of manufacturer's & Turbo with a capacity of 52.447 kW powered. You achieve a speed of maximum 23.6 kn. There are four generators with a capacity of approximately 13,700 kW available power. In addition the ships be equipped kW with a wave generator with a capacity of 4,500, which can be used for the power supply on Board at sea.
