About this API

Ships travel all over the globe, calling at many ports – but enter certain ports ports more regularly than others. These information can provide important assets for the successful operation of a ship. This professional analysis API is able to help you with that by delivering information about which of the many ports were called by a vessel.

Request with a vessel ID like the IMO or MMSI number, the API returns all the portcalls for a vessel, including information such as the respective ATD, name, ATA, coordinates, and the LOCODE of the respective port in XML or JSON format. The API allows you to analyze the past portcalls of any this vessel, i.e. identifying which ports a specific vessel entered, which port was the most or the least frequented port. The API also enables you to exmine the traveled distance of a vessel between different ports. This way you can analyze the usability of a ship and by examining the traveled distance of a vessel between the most frequently visited ports, you are able to calculatie operation costs more effectively.
